MDC-T approve new constitution – 97% tyrannical and 3% democratic!

MDC-T have approved the new constitution and are recommending the nation to vote YES in the up coming refendum to approve it.
Zanu PF Politburo approved “97%” of the new constitution and rightly so too because during the “horse trading” they had everything, and I mean everything, the party disapproved of removed. After 32 years of brutal tyrannical rule and with the political violence of 2008 still fresh in their minds every Zimbabwean wanted the new constitution to put and end to this scourge of political violence. The buzz word on this was Security Sector reforms.
The new constitution has done nothing that can be seen in anyway or form as Security Sector reform. This was a sacred cow and not to be touched, people like George Charamba openly said so. The top brass in the Army, Police and other security organs have openly said they will not accept anyone with no “liberation war credential” as State President. The Police continue to turn a blind eye to Zanu PF thuggery and lawlessness as we speak.
Minister Patrick Chinamasa has already pushed through parliament the Human Rights Bill which will force the Human Rights Commissioners to limit their human rights investigations to the post 2009 period only. The Bill was passed under MDC’s very noses. It is Zanu PF’s insurance in case the new constitution is rejected.
There is nothing in the new constitution beyond the usual platitudes about press freedom that will force Zanu PF to end its monopoly of the media and ensure the people are informed and not brainwashed as is the case at present.
The people of Zimbabwe wanted Mugabe barred from standing again on the grounds of his advance age, that he had already serve 32 years, or what ever; they just wanted to see the back of the tyrant. The new constitution should have been bold to have a clause like, “no individual will serve for more than ten years in a life time”.
Of course now with not even one meaningful reform in place Mugabe is free to cheat, buy votes, use violence; whatever it takes to secure election victory.
MDC is a party known for giving in to every Zanu PF demand and they did just that in writing this new constitution. This new constitution will do nothing to end this Mugabe / Zanu PF dictatorship. It will be folly to pretend it is an “incremental gain in the democratization process”.
Zimbabweans must vote NO to this 97% Zanu PF (tyrannical) and 3% MDC (democracy) constitution!

Of course you and your fellow thugs would like the over 20 000 you murdered forgotten. You are like Stalin in Russia; human life even that of your own fellow citizens is only worth what you say it is worth. And so for the sake of power and to gratify your insatiable appetite of worldly pleasures you denied your fellow men the bare necessities of life and the right to life itself.
All the Zimbabweans this Mugabe regime has murdered are dead, yes; but they are certainly not forgotten. All the thugs with blood on their hands will be brought to book. The voices demanding justice will only get louder and will not be silenced; not until justice is done.
No nation can ever know peace, justice and prosper with scum like you in its midst. Let you go free so that you can kill even more innocent Zimbabweans? No! The axe may forget but not the tree that was cut!

This is really tragic! Sometimes people forget that behind all these stories of farm seizures, political violence, rapes, murders, etc. are real people whose dreams have been shuttered and lives ruined or, worse still, wasted.
It does not have to be this way, not in our Zimbabwe. This is not what we had dreamt of nor ever wanted. This Zanu PF regime has reduced us into animals devoid of feelings, human emotions and incapable of comprehending reason or common sense. We can not live like animals any much longer without risking going beyond the point of no return; let us hope we have not done so already, that there is some flickering flame of humanity still in us.
Much as we may all wish Tsvangirai and MDC would help end our suffering and deaths by ending this dictatorship; all MDC have done since 2008 is help Mugabe back into power and to spruce up his image. MDC gave in to all Zanu PF’s dictatorial demands in drafting this new constitution; it is, for all intent and purpose, a Zanu PF document.
This new constitution is not going to do anything to pull back Zimbabwe from the edge Mugabe and Zanu PF has taken this nation.
