The almost invisible photographic model

I’ll hold the camera,
you provide the face.

Your smile I will take,
along with the chuckle
in your eyes,
and also the slight disarray
of your hair.

Then there is the window light
tumbling off your nose,
the dark whorls in your ear,
and the very slight bulge
your tongue makes
behind your cheek.

With your permission
I will put all this together
and hold it up for us to see.

The rest of you is not made visible;
yours to give out as you will
to minds that will remember this for a while,
or forget with little loss of time.
