Madiba…
February 13, 2010 in Uncategorized

This being a stoner blog one can assume that should I raise a “political” subject, odds are good the content will be somewhat off sides. So while feeling compelled to write something for the 20th anniversary of Madiba’s release it struck me.
Why can we not clone Nelson Mandela and make a new president?
The tiny little man walking in Madiba’s shoes right now is making a mockery of everything Madiba fought and worked for. Madiba’s vision was a colorful and vibrant African state. One of hope for the rest of the continent.
Sex scandals, corruption trials, illegitimate children and a public nepotist. Put what Zuma has actually done during his stint in office next to what Madiba did. Remembering that we are far from what we could be in SA. Given to the right hands SA can become a society with everyone living out of poverty and in a neighborhood.
I wish I could have smoked a blunt with Madiba back in the day.

Colourful and vibrant ?? How about ex scandals, corruption trials and illegitimate children, that sounds colourful and vibrant.

I agree with you. Madiba is larger than life. An JZ is just not quite up to scratch. Unfortunately they’ve only been able to clone sheep so far, and the fact that we live in Africa means that this is likely as good as it’s going to get…
