Christmas Tea dem at Hirsch’s Umhlanga

As the bells”jingle in” the arrival of Christmas, it’s time to get stuck into some baking.  With this idea in mind, Hirsch’s Umhlanga recently hosted an inspirational Christmas cooking demo to warm up the ovens.  The cooking demo included a winning recipe for home made mince pies for the Christmas table.  Starting off by making their own pastry, Warren Pearce and Cheryl Woolatt, chefs for the morning, showed the audience how easy it is and can easily be used as a children’s activity during the holidays.

Cheryl finished off the demo by making a German Christmas Mince Cake and sharing this treat with all the curious shoppers and the audience.
