Cooking for the inventors

Hirsch’s Umhlanga recently hosted a cooking extravaganza for the product developers and management of Unilever, demonstrating creative ways Unilever products are being used in cooking with appliances for the modern household.

“Nutritious, healthy meals  for the whole family  is what we promote”, said Hirsch’s PRO, Luci Hirsch to the group.  “Combining  products such as the Knorr Cook in Bag and the Stock Pot with the latest technology in energy-efficient cooking, we are able to illustrate to our customers that keeping your family healthy is so much easier than ever before.”  she explained.  Among the dishes prepared was a Salmon Quiche in the Miele steamer oven, a Beef Stew in under 15 minutes in the AEG electric pressure cooker, and roasted vegetables with chicken nuggets in the Phillips Airfryer.

The demo finished off with Luci inspiring the group by explaining the dynamic success of Hirsch’s, a company that started in 1979 with only R900.
