Where did Q1 go? Last time I checked it was still Christmas!

Greetings to everyone and I do hope that you all made it back safely and little more refreshed from the Easter break.
Where have I been these last three and a half months I hear you asking. Well, there has been a great deal of change in my household that needed dealing with such as:
- my older muppet starting “big school”, yep, the big Grade 0;
- with the change in schools came managing two different sets of start and finishing times, two sets of extra-mural activities and, most awkwardly, two completely different sets of holidays. My muppets have only 6 days of overlapping holidays in the whole year (apart from December) and most of that overlap occured around the Easter long weekend. Try factoring that into vacation and weekends-away plans; and last, but definitely not least
- taking the decision to re-enter the formal work place after a two year sabatical (scary hey).
I’m certain that most of you can relate to some, or all, of these events and you’ll notice that my next few posts will focus on things like routine, especially those of the children, organisation and productivity – making every minute of the day count so that you don’t end up feeling like the proverbial hamster on a wheel, working away furiously but not really getting anywhere. In amongst it all I will touch on something I haven’t experienced in a long time – working mommy guilt (sound familiar anyone?).
Yes, this year has been a rollercoaster ride and there’s no end in sight so we might as well strap ourselves in and enjoy the ride.
Chat soon and until then, take care of you and yours.
