Modern Philosophers

Having read books like Paulo Coelho’s The Alchemist and James Randal’s The Celestine Prophecy you begin to understand that, although these were works of fiction, they contain fundamental universal truths.
If mathematics is the language of science then coincidence is the language of the metaphysical.
Let me tell you a little story. I attend court almost on a daily basis, occupational hazard I’m afraid. A couple of weeks ago in early January I went off to Boksburg Magistrate’s court. On the way I caught the eye of a very handsome young man in a red car driving in the same direction. He appeared lost but after a moment of so I saw him head toward the court.
Once inside I saw the young man standing in one of the court rooms. I assumed he was a client of one of the attorneys and proceeded to do what every woman, ok almost every woman, on the planet does when confronted with a gorgeous male…I sat checking him out.
It was motion court Friday and anyone sitting around was either doing Section 65’s (can’t really explain but it’s not a good thing) or postponing their matters. When It dawned on me that he might be a client in a Section 65 proceeding I lost interest completely (shallow I know).
After a few hours he left. He had never stood up or sat in a proceeding. I thought again that he might be a candidate like myself and was perhaps just observing. I felt in that second a deep sadness that I would never see him again. He was soon forgotten.
A month later I began Law School classes at UJ. They are night time classes and compulsory in order for us to become admitted attorneys. I got in fairly early and had the opportunity to observe all the budding lawyers walk in and take their seats. The hostility and competativeness was palpable even in that seemingly friendly environment. Low and behold who should walk in the door but the young man I had seen weeks before. Never say never, right?
Ok, here’s where the story will come to a halt as the rest is quite childish but very, very entertaining, well to me at least.
According to Paulo Coelho this is a clear coincidence. According to James Randal it is also a coincidence one in which I should be encouraged to talk to the young man as he would have information for me about my life path, my destiny.
Since I don’t know where it is I’m going or supposed to go or even what my life question is, Paulo Coelho is no help. However James Randal might just have a point. My dilemma folks is how the hell do I approach a complete stranger? What the hell do I tell him? Never mind the fact the I find him completely attractive.
In conclusion it’s obvious that this has something to do with my destiny so why am I fighting so hard against it?
I thought I’d pop in and say hi. So HIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiiii!
Hope you’re all looking forward to the many breaks we have this month, rest, drive safe and be careful with yourselves and loved ones

I lovesss me the picture.
I think Jung called it synchronicity – and I believe there is nothing random about it.
Talk to him – nothing to lose, right?
(And yes, I can understand you losing interest at Section 65! I used to sit in those law lectures back when it was still RAU…Enjoy)
