I really am sorry for not blogging for a whole week (yes i know what a bad bad bad blogger i have been, but between a functiion i had to organise, work, life, and the general madness that comes with being me, i really did not have much time and when i did, we all know how temperamental my computer gets so the keyboard and mouse took turns to throw tantrums and trust me i tried writting a blog with the on screen keyboard....but got sidetracked reading blogs and commenting instead.
please accept my apology....and im really sorry about the link in the post below the post below...will definitely try to sort that out.
edited to add: i have tried to sort out the link but it doesn't seem to be working so i deleted the post.

so after a long discussion about the economy and where we are headed the day before i decided to do my bit for the budget...so instead of getting my bread and milk at the convenience store i decided to get it at the supermarket.....now this plan would have worked out fine except the supermarket is at the mall.....so on my way to the supermarket i notice the big red signs outside woolies, they where calling me in with promises of 50% off...what was i to do but go and have a quick look?
well that quick look cost me R800-00 (in my defense the stuff was on sale!) and then i went off to the supermarket where i spent another couple hundred (i remembered other things i needed!)
moral of the story
Bread at 24 hour convenience store R 8-50 milk at 24 hour convenience store R 16-50 avoiding the woolies sale PRICELESS for everything else theres mastercard
Bread at the supermarket R 7-90 milk at the supermarket R 13-50 woolies sale R 800-00 other groceries R 300-00
look on husbands face when i explained the reason i didnt just buy the bread and milk at the convenience store PRICELESS
p.s. im still working on that apology....

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
i suspect that sneaky little b@$*@%& is creeping up on me...after 4 days of insufficient sleep and really odd sleeping hours my brain and body have decided to lodge an official protest...in the form of aching muscles and a brain that refuses to remember the simplest of things...so i will spend today doing absolutely nothing!

my big brother bought little brother a spidersapien for his birthday...at least that was the excuse, i say this because he spent more time drooling and eagerly awaiting the grand opening! (they spent more time unwrapping the thing and reading the instructions than they would have for any thing else...they made it an event!) I wonder do we ever really outgrow toys? Perhaps we just dont buy it anymore because of financial maturity, maybe thats why people have kids, so they have a reason (read excuse) to be buying toys? I will admit i was very tempted to buy a tea set very recently, until i looked at the price...for R150-00 i could get at least 4 real tea cups and sauces and a tea jug!
have you bought any toys recently?
p.s. i have also noticed that boys toys just get more and more expensive as they grow older...quad bikes, boats, jet skis.
